CLASS OF CLASSMATE
1960 Douglas S. Allred

Douglas S. Allred, a native of Forestville and a 58-year resident of Sonoma County, was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing. His passion, however, was his family, and he devoted his life to caring and providing for them.
He died Tuesday in Santa Rosa after a long battle with cancer. He was 62.
"He had such a sense of responsibility", said his wife of 44 years, Mary J. Allred of Windsor. "He was a very hard worker. He was very warm and loving"' she said, while also noting his sense of humor.
He was the kind of man who could find joy in daily life. He celebrated jackpot wins at casinos and laughed in amusement at the antics of his grandchildren. He enjoyed establishing loyal friendships.
Born March 19, 1942, he was a 1960 graduate of Analy High School in Sebastopol, where he was a member of the 1959-60 undefeated Analy High football team. He worked 17 years for Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, where he was a logistics manager.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Lou D. Allred of Sebastopol; two daughters, Shelley Fessenden and Denise Rossotti, both of Windsor; a sister, Irma Gray of Maglia, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
